[수완뉴스=육주현 기자] (Ltd. has released character posters for the Wellmade play “Closure” ahead of its upcoming opening on the 23rd.
Set in contemporary London, Closure follows four men and women, Alice, Dan, Anna, and Larry, as they meet and become entangled in each other’s lives. As they fall in and out of love, the play explores the aspirations, obsessions, and wavering hearts that people have for each other, and the importance of communication and truth. With a stellar cast that includes Lee Sang-yoon, Jin Seo-yeon, Kim Da-hee, Lee Jin-hee, Choi Seok-jin, Yoo Hyun-seok, Ahn So-hee, and Kim Joo-yeon, the show has been generating buzz since its casting announcement.
The play, which has been reborn as a translation and adaptation that is one step closer to the original as it has been on stage for eight years, delicately explores what it means to be in a true relationship as love begins and ends. Anticipation was heightened by the release of a rehearsal scene where actors and creative staff freely exchanged opinions on key elements of the play, such as fate, love, and lies in relationships.
The character posters released this time contain moments that capture the multifaceted and three-dimensional aspects of each person. First, Lee Sang-yoon and Kim Da-hee, who play Larry, a doctor at a public healthcare organization, reveal a man who pursues principles and stability but dreams of deviation through romance, raising curiosity about the love, betrayal, and mistakes Larry will experience in a relationship.
Jin Seo-yeon and Lee Jin-hee, who play Anna, a photographer who belongs to the upper class, perfectly embody the smart and rational exterior of Anna. At the same time, they also express the inner life of Anna, who hides her impulsive feelings deep inside and is torn between two fateful loves.
Choi Seok-jin and Yoo Hyun-seok, who play the deputy obituary reporter Dan, put their light-hearted and lustful side to the forefront, but through their deep eyes and delicate poses, they portrayed a three-dimensional image of Dan’s wounds and deficiencies.
As Alice, who wants to leave for New York at any moment, Ahn So-hee and Kim Joo-yeon show the charm of the bubbly and confident Alice as it is, while also captivating the audience with their strong portrayal of a human being with a strong character who wants to love but is not swayed by fate.
