The comedy musical *Mrs. Doubtfire* will kick off its third season on December 3 at the GS Art Center in Seoul, with Hwang Jung-min, Jung Sung-hwa, and Jung Sang-hoon reprising their roles as Daniel & Doubtfire. The run will continue through February 21, 2027.
Producers Sam Company Co., Ltd. and Studio Sunday announced the casting and performance schedule for this third run on September 29. <Mrs. Doubtfire> has drawn a cumulative audience of 180,000 over two seasons—following its 2022 premiere and 2025 revival—and earned an audience rating of 9.8.
The production is based on the Hollywood film of the same name. It tells the story of Daniel, a father who, after his divorce, is separated from his children and begins leading a double life by disguising himself as the nanny, Doubtfire, in order to stay close to them. The “8-second quick change”—in which Daniel transforms into Nanny Doubtfire in just a few seconds—is considered the show’s signature scene.
Hwang Jung-min, who returned to the musical stage after a 10-year hiatus for the 2025 revival to great acclaim, is returning as Doubtfire for this third run as well. He has been praised for seamlessly switching between serious emotional performances and deadpan comedy to bring the transformations of Daniel and Doubtfire to life.
Jung Sung-hwa has participated in every season, from the 2022 premiere through the 2025 revival to the 2026 third run. Having appeared in productions such as *Hero* and *Beetlejuice*, he has added new nuances to the character with each season. Jeong Sang-hoon, drawing on his experience playing nine roles in *The Gentleman’s Guide*, portrayed Doubtfire in the previous revival and will reprise the role this time as well.
Park Hye-na, who has been part of every season since the Korean premiere, and newcomer Jang Eun-ah have been cast as Miranda, the working mom. Park Hye-na has showcased her vocal and acting talents in productions such as *Lempicka* and *Hell’s Kitchen*. Jang Eun-ah has appeared in *Death Note* and *Rebecca*, and most recently played the role of “Pig Mom” in the Netflix series *True Education*. In addition, Lee Ji-hoon and Kim Da-hyun will play Stuart; Kim Ah-young and Kim Yeon-jin will play Wanda; Im Ki-hong and Yook Hyun-wook will play Frank; and Lee Kyung-wook and Young-oh will play André. The child roles include Seol Ga-eun, Choi Eun-young, and Choi Seo-hee as Lydia; Jack, Park Ji-hoo, and Jo Yun-woo as Chris; and Park Sol-ri, Kim Su-hyun, and Choi Do-ah as Natalie.
The production company described the show as a production that conveys heartfelt messages about family and relationships through laughter and performance, making it suitable for a wide range of audiences—from three-generation families to couples and friends. The release schedule is timed to capitalize on the year-end theater market, which sees high demand for Christmas and New Year’s gatherings, as well as family outings during winter break.
