[Suwan News = Kim Dong-ju, Head of News Operations] The “2025 Gangwon Youth Volunteer and Outstanding Activities Awards Ceremony,” hosted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province and organized by the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Youth Activity Promotion Center (Director Kang Seok-yeon), was held in Wonju on the 14th.
The awards ceremony was held with the aim of identifying and sharing outstanding examples of youth volunteerism and activities within the province, while promoting a healthy culture of youth volunteer participation throughout the local community.
A total of 25 awards across six categories were presented this time, with recipients including individuals, clubs, and organizations.
The Minister of Gender Equality and Family Award in the Youth Category was presented to: ▲ Mongjungmong (Youth Steering Committee · Sokcho City Children and Youth-Friendly Space “Kkumirang”) ▲ Park Ju-hyun (Hongcheon County Youth Cultural Center) ▲ Onsaemiro(Catholic Kwandong University, Social Work major) ▲ Kwak Do-hun (Dogye Youth Scholarship Center) ▲ Samcheok City Youth Training Center (Outstanding Facility) were selected.
In addition, the following awards were presented: ▲ Commendation from the Governor of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province ▲ Award from the Speaker of the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Assembly ▲ Award from the Superintendent of Education of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province ▲ Award from the President of the Korea Youth Activity Promotion Institute ▲ Award from the Director of the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Youth Activity Promotion Center.
Referring to the award recipients, Director Kang added, "They are truly precious individuals who lead the way in deepening their own joy through acts of giving."
Jeong Young-mi, Director of the Welfare and Health Bureau at the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Office, delivered a congratulatory speech, saying, "I hope your warm hearts and efforts will continue to brighten the future of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province," and
Shin Gyeong-ho, Superintendent of the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education, offered words of encouragement, saying, “I offer a heartfelt round of applause for the positive influence you young people have made,” and added, “The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education will always support your dreams.”
