The Suwan News Company announced on the 22nd that it has officially launched “CODA (Clever Office Desking Assistant) AI Beta 1.0.0,” a tool based on its proprietary language model designed to assist media professionals with reporting and article writing.
The newly unveiled CODA AI was designed with the motto “a smart colleague by your desk.” It adopts Suwan News’ proprietary small language model (Smail LLM)—trained on the news outlet’s article database—as its core engine, delivering performance optimized for the day-to-day operations of news organizations.
Technically, by converting our proprietary model—which combines LSTM and attention mechanisms—into the ONNX format, high-speed inference is now possible even on Ryzen CPUs. Combined with the OpenClaw-based agent dashboard and tool-calling functionality, this enables intelligent task processing.
The key practical features of CODA AI, as demonstrated in the live demo, are as follows.
- Automatic Document Summarization and Fact Extraction: When long administrative or policy press releases are entered, morphological analysis (Okt) is used to instantly and accurately extract and generate a key summary in bullet point format, along with key terms (such as “local government” and “decentralization”).
- Automatic Search Tool Invocation (Tool-Calling): When a user asks, “Are there any articles featuring student interviews? Please show me just three,” the AI automatically runs an internal search (Coda Search). It accurately selects and presents three valid articles (e.g., similarity scores of 0.712 and 0.710) that meet or exceed the threshold (0.3).
- Transparent RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and Background Knowledge Analysis: The SBERT semantic retrieval process used to generate answers is transparently displayed via an accordion menu within the UI, enhancing reliability (by preventing hallucinations), and the system proactively organizes the relevant educational and political background knowledge needed for writing articles.
- Agent Control Dashboard and Multi-History: The OpenClaw dashboard allows you to monitor training progress and view maximum token context usage in real time. You can systematically manage past conversation histories across multiple sessions.
- Support for Mathematical Operations and Voice Input: In addition to generating simple text, it calculates complex equations (e.g., 99,999,999 + 4,955,499) without errors and supports real-time voice prompt input via the browser’s microphone icon. (Minimizes repetition and English contamination through strict decoding controls)
