※ The figures of “60,000” or “80,000” cited by many domestic media outlets appear to have been tallied midway through the rally, while foreign media reported attendance exceeding 100,000. According to an insider from the organizing committee, the figure was “200,000”; based on my own estimates, I believe the number exceeded 100,000, and judging that a peak attendance of around “200,000” is entirely possible, I will maintain the hypothesis of 100,000–200,000+a for the time being.
※ Update 3: While the combined total of online and offline participants appears to have far exceeded 200,000, I have not factored this in because it is difficult to estimate the rate of duplicate viewership.
