The Taejang 2-dong Volunteer Patrol of the Bukwon Youth Association (Captain Lee Heung-yeon) will host the “27th Chuseok Neighborhood Singing Contest” at the Taejang Cultural Plaza along the Heungyang Stream on September 25 at 6:30 p.m.
Now in its 27th year, the Taejang 2-dong Residents’ Singing Contest is a flagship local holiday event held annually during Chuseok, where residents and returning hometown visitors gather to socialize and strengthen bonds with their neighbors. Every year, more than 1,000 residents and returning hometown visitors attend the event.
Participants can sign up on-site for the singing contest that day, and approximately 40 contestants will take the stage to showcase their singing talents. In addition, various programs—including celebratory performances, fireworks, and a raffle—are planned to add to the fun of the event.
In addition, a night market will be held in the area surrounding the event venue from September 23 to 26. It will feature food and entertainment for both residents and those returning to their hometowns for Chuseok to enjoy together.
It is hoped that this event will bring local residents and those returning home together to share the festive spirit and serve as a venue for the local community to come together in harmony.
