Mirinae Library will launch the “2026 Second-Half Children’s Reading Culture Program” this coming October to boost children’s and teens’ interest in reading and help them develop healthy reading habits.
This program consists of five courses designed to integrate reading with hands-on activities, discussions, and experiments, tailored to the specific characteristics of each age group, from preschoolers to middle school students.
"Imagination Architects Club" for 6- to 7-year-olds, "Little Music Forest" for 1st and 2nd graders, “Future Science Grand Adventure” for 3rd–4th graders, “Court of Literary Characters” for 4th–6th graders, and “Discovering Science Through Experiments” for 7th–9th graders—a total of five courses.
The program will be held in the Cultural Lecture Room at Mirinae Library from October 15 to December 12; the schedule and target audience vary by program. Registration opens at 10:00 a.m. on October 1 on the Mirinae Library website on a first-come, first-served basis. Kim Yeon-hee, director of the Mirinae Library, said, “We have organized this program so that children can learn about various fields through books, engage in hands-on experiences, and participate with enjoyment,” adding, “We hope many interested children and teenagers will participate.”
