[Suwan News = Reporter Kim Dong-ju] The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Youth Activity Promotion Center (Director Kang Seok-yeon) conducted the “Field Experience Learning Safety Course” to strengthen instructors’ on-site response capabilities and improve the quality of safety management through training focused on hands-on first aid practice applicable to youth training activities.
This training program was divided into new employee training and refresher training, and was conducted in the Yeongseo and Yeongdong regions to ensure balanced access to training opportunities across the region. The new training sessions were held on March 19 (Yeongseo) and March 26 (Yeongdong), while the refresher training sessions were held on March 18 (Yeongseo) and March 25 (Yeongdong), respectively.
The training curriculum was structured around hands-on exercises that can be immediately applied in real-world situations, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), wound dressing techniques, updated artificial respiration guidelines, and CPR for infants and toddlers. In particular, the program emphasized improving participants’ practical response capabilities through repeated hands-on practice and scenario-based response training.
A total of 83 youth leaders participated in and completed this program, and it is expected that this will further strengthen their ability to respond to various safety incidents that may occur during field trips.
Kang Seok-yeon, Director of the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Youth Activity Promotion Center, stated, “Through this field trip safety training course, we were able to reaffirm that a leader’s ability to respond promptly in the field is of the utmost importance,” adding, “We will continue to do our utmost to create a safe environment where young people can participate in activities with peace of mind through ongoing safety education.”
