Suwan News Officially Launches “Everyone’s Campus,” an AI-Powered “Campus Optimization” Platform

[Suwan News = Digital News Team] Suwan News (The Suwan News, CEO Kim Dong-ju), an independent media outlet for teenagers and young adults, has officially launched “Everyone’s Campus” (hereinafter “MoCam”), an AI smart campus platform optimized for the unique academic environments of individual universities, to mark the 11th anniversary of its founding.

The newly launched MoCam addresses the limitations of existing platforms that managed universities nationwide under a single standard and prominently features “customized pages” that reflect the unique characteristics of each school.

“Different Schools Require Different Platforms”… Implementing Campus-Specific UI/UX

MoCam’s most distinctive feature is its “school-specific customization.” It integrates the symbolic colors of universities nationwide, their unique academic calendars, and the fragmented campus-specific announcement systems into a single app, tailored to each institution. By simply logging in to their school’s section, users can intuitively access key academic information and quick links specific to that institution.

This goes beyond simply compiling and presenting information; it is the result of a hyper-local strategy that respects each university’s unique “atmosphere” and “operating system.”

Applying AI to 11 Years of Industry Insights… Lead Developer Kim Dong-ju’s New Challenge

Kim Dong-ju, the lead developer who spearheaded the design of MoCam, is a journalist who has been documenting the lives of young people while running Suwan News for the past 11 years. Since 2025, he has been actively adopting AI technology, expanding the value of his support for young people—which began with the tip of a pen—into a technology platform.

Lead developer Kim Dong-ju said, “Through my 11 years of reporting experience, I’ve come to realize that what students really need isn’t a one-size-fits-all community, but a tool specialized in ‘information about the campus I walk through,’” and “MoCam will use AI and OCR technology to eliminate the hassle of registering for classes while also serving as a digital assistant that deeply reflects the unique characteristics of each school,” he added.

The Identity of Independent Media… Upholding “Youth Information Sovereignty” and Striving for Mutual Prosperity

MoCam operates on the basis of the credibility of the independent media outlet Suwan News. It prioritizes user information sovereignty and convenience over the commercial use of data, and all collected data is managed transparently solely for the purpose of enhancing the service’s intelligence and protecting the rights and interests of students.

In particular, Suwan News reported that, guided by the principle that key campus information should not be the exclusive domain of any single platform, it is realizing “universal information welfare” by enabling all students to experience advanced AI services without restriction. The company announced that, starting with Kangwon National University—where the service is currently available—it plans to expand the service to major universities nationwide and build a genuine campus platform ecosystem that highlights the unique characteristics of each institution.
